Usually the Toronto papers are full of doom and gloom -- it happens, happens, so they print it, including rapes, murders, accidents, plane and train crashes etc. (plus pictures), I read for instance how the government is doing everything wrong, the stock market is shrinking, shrinking, usually a doctors column telling telling you that (possibly) your days are numbered, (as if we didn't know!!) then there are the self styled styled authorities, .(often women) telling telling you what's wrong with your marriage, the sp'orts pages with more experts, telling us why the baseball, hockey and football teams, and numerous other sports celebrities are losing. I wonder what makes them experts? Then of course the inevitable woman who tell you how to im- Lÿnne, along with most woman around here, have forgotten more about cooking, than some of these "experts" ever knew. And last but not least, the pages showing women's fashions, if you're young, have a perfect figure (which usually means "skinny") and have a rich husband or father to pay the ridiculous prices, fine, -- if not forget it. As far as the women in Orono are concerned, they don't need it, they look just great, just the way they are. (Have you heard anyone complaining?)
