This has been the first year the O.A.A.A. has participated in the Bowmanville T.O.N.B.A. league. It was a very challenging year for us all and I was very proud of my players as they developed good baseball skills and showed good sportmanship. I'd also like to thank the parents for their help throughout the year. Delivery of the cheese will be on Sunday, November 12th for large orders, which will be brought to yoitr home. The remaining orders can be picked up at the Arena on Tuesday, November 14th. Cheese money should be turned in by Thursday, November 23rd. In recognition of everyone's effort in the cheese drive, the club will hold a random draw on Tuesday, November 28th. There will be 36 cash prizes ranging from one to ten dollars. One draw ticket will be issued for each $25 worth of cheese sold. The Orono Athletic Association, which includes the Figure Skating Club, have cookbooks available for sale for $5,00. Please contact members of the executive if you are interested in purchasing the cookbooks. This year'with Hallowe'en falling on a Tuesday evening, the regular Canskate program for that night will be changed to a Family Skate from, 6:20 to 7:20 for those who wish to attend. Board of Education meeting highlights New Time For Board Meetings: Trustees voted last night to return to the original Board starting time of 7:30 p.m. rather than the earlier 7:00 p.m. time in practice since July.
