An enemy re: Websters is a person who hates another and wishes to injure him, not a friend." If you knew all your enemies you could be careful not to go near them. 1 Peter 5:8, Tells us "to be" sober, be vigilant: because your adversary (enemy) the devil, (Websters: '"Chief of evil spirits) any demon of hell", "as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." We most often think of enemies as people, things we can see but the above scripture is telling us our enemy is an evil spirit. Our enemy can do anything an evil spirit can do to us then. Being sick is definitely an enemy, " lack of money is an enemy, poor relationships with each other and our friends and relatives is an enemy. Children who don't behave are that way because the enemy is causing disruptions. The enemy is trying to devour us in all of the above ways and more, divorce is an enemy it causes everyone to be severely hurt and children especially. especially. Alcohol is an enemy because it robs our health and our ability to even talk or act sensible at times. It also causes the ones drinking to have more car accidents. It's not your neighbour, husband, husband, wife, children, mother-in-law etc. who is your enemy it's the devil. If you don't know him he can do all kinds of things to you, and most of the time you may think it's just you. Bad attitudes, • disagreements, fights, you name it, he's the master deceiver and if he can keep you thinking it's you, he's got you. The bible tells us how to get on the top of things and stay there. Matthew 16:23, "Get thee behind me Satan," is what Jesus told him and we can too. Questions or Comments. Write Box 179.
