They finished off with league hockey for the year 1999 on December 20th. Millbrook came out to Orono for a rematch. The Millbrook team managed to sneak one by Orono's netminder with one minute left in the first period. Country Cafe worked hard but couldn't manage to tie it up. Final score was 1-0 for Millbrook. The Cafe crew did manage to fit in some tournament play during the holidays, picking a nice sunny day for a drive up to Douro. The players came home with medallions but no wins. All three matches were close with Orono downed only by one in both the second and third games. The team put forth a great effort. Country Cafe has only three games left in the regular season. Bobcaygeon makes it way to Orono on Friday, January 7 then Country Cafe finishes the season off with two games back-to-back on January 13 in Newcastle and on the 14th at home also against Newcastle. Newcastle Funeral Home bantams roll over Port Perry Predators The end of Christmas break brought with it a big win for the N.F.H. bantam Leafs as they trounced Port Perry 8-4. Orono played a great game of heads-up hockey with good passing and hard shooting. Leading the scoring was J.P. Hsani who netted 4 goals with 1 assist.
