Information is an • important part of farming these days; there are new techniques and products to learn about. The big Farm Machinery Show in Toronto runs from Feb. 8-11. Congratulations to Ethel Goble who celebrated her birthday Sunday afternoon at Tyrone Orange Hall, when family, friends and neighbours neighbours gathered to wish her well ànd catch up on the visiting. visiting. The next one is on the first Saturday in March. Oshawa UCW Presbyterial ' will hold their annual meeting in Orono United Church on Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 1-9 p.m. The afternoon entertainment entertainment will be a Women's Choir, and during the evening session, Rev. Karen Hamilton will speak on "Change with Joy". Dinner tickets must be purchased in advance. All women of the church are welcome welcome to attend; come part of the day if you can't manage all of it. Tyrone Church is holding a. Chicken Pie Supper and Goods and Talent Auction all on the same night - Sat. Feb. 26. Tickets are now available from Betty at 263-8424. If you have something to donate to the auction, either an item or something you can do, like knitting, baking or yard work, talk to Jake or Jane Koene at 983 9861. This is always an interesting evening. On Wed. Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m. Bethesda Cemetery Board holds its annual public meeting at Tyrone Church. Guest speaker is Irwin Hamilton, a lawyer from Bowmanville, who will discuss discuss wills, power of attorney, etc. This is also a time to hear what is happening at the cemetery and to bring your suggestions and concerns to the Board. A small thank you gift to our speak- Clarke Museum news Museum Renovations Great changes are in store, for the Museum this winter. Started in January and continuing through February and March, the main display gallery, the archives and the office work space at the museum is being removed and a whole new user friendly friendly design is being installed. The new system opens up the space and provides better security and access by researchers and the public. The museum shop is also being renovated to blend in with the space. As part of the renovations the windows, which have been boarded up for years, have been uncover uncover and our hostess. A delicious luncheon was served by our hostess, as always. Hilda specializes in delicious desserts! Our next meeting is March 7 at the home of Mrs. Eleanor Terrill, this will be St. Patricks, so remember to be wearing "The Green." Isabelle Challice ered.
