Scoring for Orono were Heather Maitland and Paul Bridger with two, and Greg Howe, Cory Veloce and Dustin Armstrong with one apiece. Assists went to Emma Lunn (2), Daniel Hodgson (2), Joel McDonald (2), Ben McKelvie, Brock McGill, Dustin Armstrong, Josh Flynn and Jonathan Picco all getting assists. Computer Doctor makes house call and defeat Stuffs Stutt's Pharmacy played host to Bowmanville's Computer Doctor on Sunday afternoon featuring a high scoring game which ended in the doctors giving the pharmacists pharmacists a strong dose of their own medicine in the way of a 7-3 loss. There were no goals in the first period but eight in the the second--six by Computer Doctor while Stutt's answered with two. Orono's Josh McGill and Harley McColl (first of the season) found the mark while Michelle Bridger, Kevin Griffin and Tyler Elson earned the assists. TRT 'V finalists in Douro The 'Gravel Pit' gang travelled travelled to Douro February 26 for a bit of tournament action. The first team they faced was Otonabee. The nicest pen "Out of Oshawa, ON - Things brightened up last week for Bradley Williams', a patient at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, when a surprise visitor , brought the Stanley cup to cheer him up. In hospital with a sports injury, 15 year old Bradley met The Hockey Hall of Fame escort to the cup, and representatives from Labatt Breweries Ontario, who dropped in on their way to an Oshawa- Generals game. Earlier in the week, they paid a surprise visit to patients at Lakeridge Health Whitby. "Everywhere we go with the Stanley Cup, people are completely thrilled to see it, touch it, and have their pictures pictures taken with a part of Canadian history. We are very pleased to be able to do some- things hap- the blue" thing to brighten the day of patients, staff and visitors to the hospitals," said Paul Walker, Area Manager of Labatt. Orono Weekly Times, Wednesday, March 1 2000 Dufferin Aggregates stone Durham TV Carrying on their winning ways, Orono's Dufferin Aggregate major tykes took on Durham TV in an early morning 7:30 start in Bowmanville last Saturday. Both teams were raring to go featuring end- to-end action. Durham finally solved Orono's netminder, Matt Vignale at the 7 minute mark of the second. But, Vignale slammed the door shut. Brandon Cox evened the score at one a few minutes later then Eddie Meester gave Orono the lead for good before the second period ended. Hie third remained scoreless until the final minute when Brandon Leblanc and Chris Lunn scored sealing the win. Final score of the game was Orono: 4, Durham TV 1. A strong effort by all! .
