OMHA semi-final playoff series against the Chatsworth Flames in exciting fashion here on Saturday afternoon, by scoring three minutes into the sudden-victory overtime period. Jeff Thompson's winning goal gave the Leaf's a 5-4 win and a 1-0 lead in this OMHA semi-final best of five series. As might be expected with teams facing each other for the first time, both clubs were 'testing the waters' so to speak--playing somewhat tentatively.
