m 2000 - 5 Fibergrate Canada plays T.D. Evergreen to a draw The Fibergrate Canada atoms played an exhibition game this week with TD Evergreen. Orono has had a two week break in their schedule. Andrew Fudge played a strong game in the net. Defensive partners Jonathan Koerssen, Brien Konopka and Kevin Bourke, Kenny Jackson ruled the blue line. Adam Wood lead the offense with a four point game. Wood opened the scoring assisted by Mike Hisson and Kevin Bourke. Matt Fuller put Orono ahead assisted by Wood and Brien Konopka. Wood scored the next assisted assisted by Matt Smitt and Jonathan Koerssen. Mad Dog Beenen scored number 4 from Josh Dobson and Justin Westerink. Adam Wood tied the game 5-5 from Mike Hisson and Matt Smitt. Corey Veloce scored Orono's only goal. The game ended in a 2 - 1 lose for Orono. Game two saw Orono play head to head with St. Alphonsis. Brock McGill, Paul Bridger (2), Emma Lunn and Heather Maitland all made the score board light up. Assists made by Lucas Leech, Dustin Armstrong, Heather Maitland, Josh Flynn and Emma Lunn. The end result was a 5 - 4 win for Orono. The third and final game ended in a 2 all tie with another team from St. Alphonsis. Goalgetters were Brock McGill and Paul Bridger. Assists went to Lucas Leech and Dustin Armstrong. Orono's atoms ended their regular season on Saturday with a big win over Barry Optical. Orono's first goal scored by Daniel Hodgson and assisted by Greg Howe. Howe later scored the second goal, unassisted. Near the end of the third period. Brock McGill scored from Dustin Armstrong. Orono's goaltender Alex Hart, ended the season with a well deserved shutout. Final 3 - 0. These kids really must love hockey, after downing Stutt's 11-2 last Saturday in Bowmanville. • Noel Snow scored Orono's first goal unassisted followed by a Mitchell Hording offering offering in the second. The 'Kids Love Hockey' crew scored four in the first, four in the second and three in the third. Even though Stutt's were somewhat over-matched, they still had fun and gave it their- all throughout the game's entirety. 4 In Sunday's match-up, Computer Doctor once again fixed Stutt's wagon with a 7-3 victory over the 'pharmacists'.
