Doris Neeley announced details of the flower show at the Civic Gardai Centre on May 9. The Bowmanville Society is sponsoring a bus trip to the Royal Botanical Gardens Hamilton on June 10 and a Garden Tour is planned for Saturday, June 24. June Heard introduced the guest speaker for the evening, Dini Schoenmaker. She has had a life-long love of flowers and great interest in flower arranging. The Apple Blossom Shop donated a variety of flowers and other materials and with them, Dini demohstrated the making making of three different flower arrangements. The first one was a centre piece for a diningroom diningroom table and Dini showed each step, starting with a container and oasis. She gave several helpful hints as she worked and made it seem easy in her experienced hands. The second second arrangement was one for front view only.
