( Orono Weekly Times. Wednesday. May 31, 2000 -9 The majority of people responding to the survey stated stated they wanted 'no hunting', and 'no motorized vehicles' on the Crown Land. Of the over 200 surveys handed out at the Ministry of Natural Resources' public meeting, on March 23rd, 58 were filled out and returned. The meeting was held to get public input on issues and strategies for management of the former Orono Forestry property, and the Mill Pond Dam. At the public meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 31 st, 7-9 p.m. attire Orono Arena Community Centre, the planning process will be discussed, discussed, using information gathered from the surveys. The MNR are notifying the public that they will be proceeding proceeding with the Orono Mill Pond Dam project.
