Congratulations to you i! The Ganaraska Forest Horse Club had a best ever turnout for their annual Poker Ride Sunday in the Ganaraska Forest at Cold Springs Camp Road. Entrants were up to 72 from 63 last year. 50 donated draw prizes were given away. This is a good event for first timers since the trails are well marked and the many experienced experienced riders are always will ing to give a hand. The good weather and superb organization organization helped make this a resounding success. Anyone wishing to join the club is invited to call Susan Sinnott at 905-797-2696. Community Events Car Wash - at Oroilo IGA Saturday June 3, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. the youth of Kendal United Church will be washing washing cars and also holding a barbecue. Car wash is $5. Toastmaster Pgit Le Blanc successfully chaired her first business session of the Bowmanville Toastmasters Club on May 23rd, 2000. She used her theme of "Then and Now" to introduce the members members of the head table by asking asking them to compare their beginnings in Toastmasters with their current level of communication skills. The Table Topics Master Irene Kanzdmann challenged each impromptu speaker with an unfamiliar word taken from,Robert H. Hill's A Dictionary of Difficult Words: they were to use their imagination imagination to define it anew within within a one-minute tale.
