Catcher, Tricia Rylance was the defensive spark plug of the night, throwing out runners runners attempting to steal in the 1 st, 5th and 6th and completing completing an unassisted double play in one of her innings at third. ... Tuesday the team headed for Soiina where they took a little revenge on the only team to beat them this year. The final was 26-12 for the Truck" & Auto squad. Sarah Carter pitched 3 scoreless innings, with Katie and Michelle sharing 3 Innings before Ashley Bickell came in to close it out allowing 1 run in the 7th. The girls grabbed'10 fly ball or line drive outs with catches going to Lindsay Carter, Michelle Henderson, Sarah Carter, 3 to Tricia Rylance, Nicole Mill son and back to back Ashley Bickell in the 6th. Other solid defensive contributors contributors were Stacey Knight and Katie Pooie in the outfield outfield and Brenda Burt at several several spots in the infield. Every girl on the team scored at least one run and every girl except one'had an RBI as the Truck and Auto girls took out the Bowmanville Kinsmen, 24 - •5. . • and a single, Sarah Carter and Ashley Bickell with a single and a double each and Michelle Henderson with, a pair of singles. Both Nicole Millson and Katie Poole grabbed a pair of walks each and both scored twice. Defensive gems included an unassisted double play by Marley Gimblett who grabbed a line drive in the first 1 and then beat the runner back to first for the double. Later Marley took a wide throw at first and applied the tag as the runner sped by on her way to first. Infield assists on out outs had ■ Lindsay with 5, Sarah with 4 and Brenda, Tricia and Ashley with 2 apiece. In the outfield, Stacey, Michelle,Jennifer and Katie P. played a flawless game keeping keeping the hits in front of, them and limiting the. Kinsmen crew to one multibase hit on the entire night.
