Must be capable of working In an automated office environment including Windows 98, Microsoft Office 2000 and Heritage Sentinel v.3.2. • The curator Is responsible to the Board of Directors for all matters regarding the operation of a community museum under the standards for museums set out under the Ontario Heritage Act. Including but not limited to managing the collection, building maintenance, staff training and supervision, mus.eum security, education and outreach programmes, research requests, . basic conservation treatments, treatments, designing and mounting changing exhibits. Implementing all policies set by the board and advising on new ones. The curator produces all museum communications and promotions including newsletters, brochures, press releases and advertising. A class 'G' drivers license and reliable transportation is required. The museum manages a collection of artifacts ranging from textiles, fine art, farm equipment, transportation, transportation, house «wares and . extensive archives for genealogical research. The position is a front line, hands on operation dealing with a wide spectrum of related duties on a daily basis.
