The Clarington Concert band on Sunday afternoon, November 5, pays tribute to Roger and Hamfnerstein at the venerable Orono Town Hall with the program commencing commencing at 2:00 p.m. The concert will highlight popular songs from great musicals such as South Pacific, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music aiid of course, The King and I. It's music you can enjoy, hum along and tap your foot to. A familiar musical program program from start to finish. The musical afternoon on November 5th is the first of a series of four Sunday afternoon afternoon music programs being presented at the Orono Town Hall over the next six months. Those to follow are: "Home for the Holidays," December 17; "Wind Band Classics," March 25; and "Pop Goes the Windband," May 27th'. Subscription tickets for the series of four concerts are now available at the new Orono Music Centre in downtown downtown Orono. Adult, series $25.00, single adult ticket at the door $8.00. The new venture in offering offering the four concerts is indeed a challenge for the band and its some thirty members. It is a challenge that has been accepted by the members and leaders assuring audience enjoyment come the dates of the four concerts. There are ticket prices for seniors, children and family grouping.
