Just like last week, the team capitalized on the man-advantage situation to draw a tie. Orono scored two goals late in the first period to take the lead. Penalties, in the second period, allowed Madoc to score four unanswered goals and to take the lead. After the intermission, the Orono players players regamed their composure and played as a unit.. The rough play took a toll on the Orono team. A checking checking from behind and fighting penalties reduced the bench by four. It also cost the team their coach for the home open er. In most cases, the fighting penalties were caused by the players responding to late hits by the Madoc players after Orono mounted their comeback. comeback. Allin's Orchard Bantams Continue Winning Streak The Allin's Orchard Bantams faced off against the Fenelon Falls Flyers on Oct. 15/00 and handed them a 6-3 loss. Friday Oct. 20 saw the team begin a home and home series with the Beaverton Blades. The team was without Chris Moffat and Kyle Cox who are on the injured reserve list. The first period saw Orono 's Price take 2 penalties but either side scored no goals. The second period Was a different different story with I leerschop putting a heater from the point onto the stick of Barnes who put it away. Assisting was C. Robinson. Barnes put the Applemen up by 2 less than a minuté later as he came around the net and stuck it past the goalie. Assisting was #8 Price. Beaverton wag then allowed to walk right in on Goalie Martin to put them within one goal, but C. Robinson regained the lead at 8:48 with help from Millson and Richter. Beaverton kept pressing and upped their score again at 5:57 but with 48 seconds seconds remaining in the second period, Millson was able to negotiate the puck though his skates and drive it in the net to double the score to 4-2. C. Robinson picked up another assist. Early in the third with Price sitting out his hat trick penalty and C. Robinson beside him, Beaverton was able to come within 1 goal of the Orono team. Beaverton then pressed on and tied the game while short handed. It seemed as if Orono then had about 1 million shots on net but it was the Blades who scored to go ahead with 1:25 remaining. Orono then pulled the busiest of all. Orono was the goalie and with Pisani able to walk all over them keeping it inside the blue line, though and came out of there Barnes got his hat trick goal wit h a 7-1 win.
