The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority Is offering a "Winter Bird Workshop" on Tuesday, November 14, 2000 from 7-9 p.m. This evening will treat participants participants to a slide show of both local and visiting winter birds. Get tips on observing birds, winter bird behaviour, types of backyard feeders to use, seed mixtures for attracting different species, the ethics of feeding, where to go birding locally, and how to get involved with local bird research. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Interested people may call , the Ganaraska Forest Centre at (905) 797-2721 or email at gfc@eag)e.ca for information and to register. The cost of the evening is $6 for adults, $4 for children, students, and seniors, or $12 for families. Ganaraska Forest members can receive discounts.
