At the Board meeting on Monday evening it was agreed that we needed more people on the Board and Janine deBoer, Mike Pollard and Sheila Hannah all volunteered to join. Meetings have been scheduled every two weeks from now until the elections for a more permanent Board on Monday April 2. Nominations will be accepted until mid-March for positions on the executive and on the Board. Four Committees have been set up with a Board member as liaison with each. Maintenance of the building has Brian Foster as liaison, Fund-Raising has Sheila Hannah, Ideas has Mike Pollard and Volunteers has Janine deBoer. People are needed to work on these committees, committees, so pick one and pitch in! We welcome your help. Rental information is available available from Chris or Cccilc Perron at 983-1081. ITEMS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY CENTRE We still need cutting boards, mixing bowls, serving bowls, platters, large serving spoons, carving knife sets, paring knives; chopping knives and an artificial Christmas Tree for inside the gym. We thank the very prompt and generous offers of a live tree for outside for the very special tree lighting lighting service. We have already received a very generous donation of a new microw ave and money towards a large coffee maker , as well as the offer of another coffe,emakef. The Community With Future MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON APPOINTMENTS PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD The Council of Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington will be considering appointments to the Clarington Public Library Board pursuant to the Public Libraries Act. The Board that is appointed will be responsible for the administration of public library service in the Municipality of Clarington. Service is voluntary citizen participation and there is no remuneration. * COMPOSITION ■ • i The Board will be comprised of up to 9 members to be appointed on the following basis*'by the Council of the Municipality of Clarington. , a) Two members shall be persons recommended by the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. b) c) One member shall be a person recommended by the Petdrborough-Victoria-Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board.
