A few minutes later, North Oshawa won the draw right back to the slot and if was in the net before Lucas had a chance to move to draw North Oshawa within one. Greg Dunham, Joey Konopka. and Steve Webb each had excellent scoring chances turned aside in their effort to get the insurance goal. With 57.1 seconds remaining in the game and their goalie out, North Oshawa managed to tie it up at 2-2. Thirteen seconds later, despite Morrison's best efforts, North Oshawa potted the winner sending Morrison's for the New Year with the 3-2 loss.
