HI In the 15 years he's run his auction business, Mike MacGregor has never seen a collection such as the one he took in last week. Going once, going twice Up for auction this week is a collection of stuffed birds from a Peterborough home. The collection originally belonged lo a Mr. Arthur Mack I in of Peterborough, Peterborough, and includes a number of owls, a cormorant, cormorant, a hummingbird an ostrich egg, as well as some small animals. An article from the Peterborough Examiner, dated September 21, 1957, slates that Macklin, who was 80 years of age at the time, traveled far and wide lo accumulate ibis collection. collection. Also included in the collection is two pairs of fleas, dressed in costume---one costume---one pair as a bride and groom. The costumed fleas are visible visible only through a magnifying magnifying glass. "It's definitely the strangest collection I've ever seen," stated McGregor, "the fleas being the highlight."
