Not to be outdone in 2005, the Summer Fay re idea has been updated a little to permit the children to also think up an unusual costume or means of presenting their animal at the Fayre. Children under 12 are invited to bring their pets to the "Best Dressed Pet Contest" at the old time Summer Fayre, being held Saturday, June 11 from 9:am until 5:p.m. The judges for this event will be Dr. Matt Stephenson, DVM of the Orono Veterinary Clinic and the paramedic from the Newcastle Veterinary Hospital.
