The Kendal Royals team, comprised of eight and nine year olds, competed for thé Ontario 'A'Baseball championship this past weekend in Kendal. Photo supplied Kendal Rookie Royals capture third The Kendal Rookie Royals played fantastic baseball baseball this past Labour Day weekend, competing in the Ontario Baseball Association 'A' finals hosted in Kendal. The team placed third, just falling short of the finals. In the first game Kendal beat. Aurora 5-4 with a last inning comeback scoring three runs in the bottom of the 7th. On Saturday morning Kendal came out a little tentative, tentative, but eventually found their bats and beat Southwest London by a score of 14-6. In the third game, Kendal faced the tournament winner and came out on the losing end with a 14-2 score. Kendal's final game was against Stratford. Both teams played sound defense. In the end they lost 7-3. The tournament was won by Tecumseh beating out Stratford in the final game 14- 4.
