Police called to barricade In Oshawa Durham Regional Police were called to a Lakeside Street residence in Oshawa yesterday for a barricaded, armed male. On Monday September 12th, 2005 at approximately 5:15 p.m. Officers from the Oshawa Community Police Office attended a Lakeside Street address in the Stone Street/Park Road South area. A 49 year-old male distraught over a personal relationship had been seen holding an axe and causing damage to the interior of the residence. Police tried for several hours to contact the man, who was alone in the residence. Nearby residents were advised to lock their doors and stay in their basements until the incident was resolved as a precaution.
