Wednesday, November 2, 2005 Orono Weekly Times - 7 Orono midget reps deliver Di's Pizzeria, Orono 1 s Rep Miget team had a busy weekend weekend with five games from Thursday to Sunday last week. Omemee was in town ■for.the Thursday night game. In the first period Orono couldn't seem to find the back of the net but managed to slip two by the Omemee net minder minder in the second period. The first goal went to Devon Robinson assisted by Noel Snow. Cam Delorme sent the next one home assisted by Adam Wood up ' from Robinson. The third period saw Di's putting two more points on the board. Delorme started the scoring assisted by Tom Meester with the secind point popped in by Wood, assisted by Matt Moffat. Kenny ST. Omemee outscored the Orono squad 2 to 1. Final score, 8-4 for Omemee. Di's had their first tournament tournament of the year in Bewdley, Saturday October 29th. The first game was at 9 am against Lakefield. Jason Hoyne had . net duties for the game and Orono walked away with a 3- 1 win. Lakefield put the first point on the board but it only took Noel Snow seven seconds seconds to tie it up with an awesome awesome goal assisted by Dave Gray. Kyle Balson and Greg Howe slammed the next two home, assisted by Wood and Meester. Final score, 3-1 for Orono. The next game was set for 1 o'clock with Kenny Jackson in net for the game. Orono was up against Norwood and the game was tight from start to finish. The game ended with a 3-3 tie and had to go into overtime. The points of the game went to Matt Moffat! Greg Howe and Dave Gray with the first goal unassisted and Delorme assisting on the next two. The overtime was tense for both sides and Norwood came out ahead in the end. Rice Lake and Orono faced off for the "B" finals. Rice Lake managed the first two goals, but in the second period Orono 1 s Scott Henderson Henderson tied it up, assisted by Snow and Delorme. In the third, it didn't take long for Rice Lake to find the back of the net one more time yet Orono couldn't seem to find another hole in the Rice Lake's goalie. Rice Lake walked away with the win and Orono settled for "B" Finalists. Orono was back on the ice Sunday night for a league game, this time facing off against Beaverton. Both teams- played hard but Orono came out on top with a 4-3 win. Orono's first point went to Gray, assisted by Moffat. The second goal was scored by Scott Henderson assisted by Dan Reilly, and the third goal for Orono, was a lone point, for Kyle Balson. Orono's final and winning goal was slammed in from the blue line by Josh Flynn assisted assisted again by Moffat. It was a great game in net for Kenny Jackson. B.H.
