Orono opened the game with a goal 10 seconds into the game. Millbrook dominated the game for the next two periods leading 4-1 in the third period. The locals came back in the third period, scoring scoring two goals. In the final minutes of the game, Millbrook Millbrook drew a penalty, and Orono pulled their goalie, Alana Ticknor, in an effort to tie the game. The game was a nailbiter but Orono ended up losing the game 4-3 even though they had some great chances in the dying seconds. The goals for the Orono team were credited to Tyler Webster, Chris Lunn, and Nick Kuijpcrs. The assists went to Taylor Vanson, Ryan Somogyi, and Carson Quinn. Orono's next game is on Saturday in Sunderland at 6:30pm against the Wings. Orono then returns to play a rivalry match against Newcastle at Orono on Sunday at 7:30pm! CL Wednesday, November 30, 2005 Orono Juveniles have great week! The Orono Juvenile hockey hockey team (sponsored by Dufferin Aggregates) played three games this past week coming away with two wins and a tie. For the season, their record is six wins, one loss and one tie. On Wednesday night the Manver Mustangs came to town and were defeated 5 to 1. Goal scorers were: John DeMille (2), Doug Garlick, Mark Spiers and Curt Robinson. Assists went to Robinson (3), Garlick, DeMille DeMille and Matt Savoie. On Saturday night the boys made the trip north to Ennismore. With a short bench and a penalty filled game the team came away with a tie against the arch rivals. In the first period Doug Garlick scored a beauty from Kyle Brown to take a 1 - 0 lead. Ennismore scored the next goal in the second period, period, but Orono came back at 9:03 of the second period with a goal from Adam Cryderman assisted by Josh Moffat and Curt Robinson to take the lead. Ennismore scored two goals in the third period to take the lead and again Orono scored the tying goal with two minutes, 40 seconds left in the game for the tie. Scoring the tying goal was Nathan Caruana assisted by John DeMille. On Sunday in Orono, The Dufferin Aggregates faced off against Mariposa. Orono came out flying and coasted to an eight to one win.
