"The barbecue is an outstanding outstanding opportunity to meet Vote Continued from page 2 politicians is that they believe, if re-elected, the 70% non voting voting majority are giving them the go ahead to do more of the same. This is the part the 30% doesn't understand because everybody complains about with Durham residents and to hear their priorities on all government government issues," said Minister Oda. It's a great place, to enjoy food and friendship as well as catching up with the latest news from our neighbours," Mr. O'Toole said. Due to a prior commitment, commitment, I was unable to attend the Crown Lands BBQ. I am told the well-deserved dedication dedication to Roy Forrester was heartwarming; we all know and love Roy for the community community spirit he has brought to the village. Congratulations Roy, for a job well done and much appreciated. Instead of the BBQ, I attended an excellent fund raiser at the Cider House Golf Course in Tyrone. I met wonderful wonderful people, many of them breast cancer survivors, who have the courage to get out there and tell us how they have survived this dreadful disease. Who among us has not been personally touched by this equal-opportunity illness? illness? Sandy Archibald and Jen nifer Cooke, as well as their tireless staff and volunteers, should be commended for their efforts on behalf of this golf tournament, which is currently currently celebrating its third- year anniversary. Much appreciation appreciation and kudos to our local sponsors who contributed generously to help make this event a great success. The food was great; the teams were enthusiastic; and we all had a fine time. Over the past three years, this tournament has raised $19,000.00 for Breast Cancer Research as well as afforded us the opportunity to enjoy ourselves. My hat goes off to everyone that participated.
