Wednesday, September 20,2006 Orono Weekly Times - 3 Movie Reviews by Sharon McCartney The movie Hollywoodland is' based on the man who played Superman in the TV series in the!950s. It was sup- ' pose to be a "who-done-it" but it really didn't make it. Ben Affleck, Adrien Brody, Diane Lane and Bob Hoskin all star in this film. Part of it was filmed in Newcastle. So, if you go just to see "DocVille" it's worth it. It's not much of a : chili : . COOK-OFF . • & PIE • • CONTEST * • Sept. 23rd • • main bt., Orono • HAPPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY film though. I give this film a 2 out of 5. I really try to give every film a fighting chance and try to say at least one good thing about it. The movie Crank really isn't even worth seeing. I think it should be rated 18A not 14. It stars Jason Statham, Amy Smart and Efren Ramirez. It's about a guy, who after being poisoned, has one hour to live. He wants to kill the guy who did it. It goes, down hill from there. I give this film 1 out of 5. Some new releases are: Poseidon, Akeelah and the Bee, United 93, Lucky Number Number Slevin. Some old releases are: Good Will Hunting, Paycheck (Ben Affleck), Gladiator, Under the Tuscan Sun (Diane Lane), Who framed Roger Rabbit (Bob Hoskin). ■•••#•••»§••* •••••••• Irene's family invite you to an OPEN HOUSE in honour of her 70th Birthday at her home 3749 Concession Rd. 5, Orono on Sunday September 24th from 2 pm to 5 pm.
