Alex Hart, who had his second second consecutive shut out, helped to close the Ops team down. UPI's second goalie Shane Winters is on the injured list and Jason Hoyne has been coming out to the games as a back up goalie.r . The first game was in Ops on Thursday, January 16 at 6pm. The UPI team came ready to play a strong game. UPI couldn't couldn't find the net in the first period period of play. Andrew Kirkbride put the first point on the board at the 10 minute mark assisted by Justin Westerink and Cam Delorme. Nick Fallis slammed the next one in at the start of the third assisted by Devon Robinson and Brock Mcgill. The Orono squad never slowed down and at the 4 minute mark Doug Deboo put another point on the board with a great top corner shot assisted by Matt Bester. Within 30 seconds, Nick Fallis scored on the unsuspecting unsuspecting Ops netminder, this goal assisted by Kyle Balson. Ops managed a point in the second and one in the third leaving the final score .at 5-2 for Orono.
