After getting shut out in game two, Orono travelled to Newcastle for game three and lost a heartbreaker 2-1. Tyson Robinson opened the scoring on a nice wrap-around goal. Then came a call that will be long talked about in Orono. Evan Rosseau scored a goal that went through a hole in the mesh in the back of the net and wasn't counted. It should have given Orono a 2-0 lead. Coach Paul Rosseau protested the call to no prevail. Being obvious to many spectators spectators and arena staff, the hole was repaired during the intermission intermission flood. The Novices played their hearts out and. to lose a game in that fashion is disturbing, but in sports sometimes you get the calls and sometimes you don't. Orono is now in a must-win situation. The goal of the study is to gain an understanding- of how the proposed projects ,man-i ? iadp,and ; natural heritage, enjoyment impact, the lives: of. people in . the of small-urban amenities in a basically rural communities way of life, all the things that make our communities unique and valued places in which to live, work and thrive. Maintaining the character and values of our communities is an important part of the Port Hope Area Initiative (PH AI ) for consolidation and long term management of historic low level radioactive waste (LLRW) in Port Hope and Clarington. In previous Moving Ahead columns, we c x plained h o w environmental assessment studies under the Pli AI encompass the atmospheric, terrestrial, aquatic and geophysical aspects ol our environment. This time we turn our attention to the socio-economic factors that, together, give our communities their unique character. Areas to he examined in the socioeconomic socioeconomic assessment include such things as tourism, housing, property values, recreation, and significant community features such as heritage architecture, a thriving recreational fishery, and agricultural activity. The study w ill identify valued social and cultural components, as perceived by the people who live anil work in our communities. SI (NFS Consultants Ltd. is compiling the socio-economic report, under the direction of Brendan Llyim of the Low- Level Radioactive Waste Management Office (I.I.RWMO). The second period, Bowmanville scored again, but Orono answered hack as Mackenzie Tycc and Jeremy Moore set up Daniel Stavrakos to blast one in. The second period ended 3-1. The third period. Orono came alive and tied up the game with Daniel Stavrakos scoring his second goal of the game assisted by Brandon Cox and then Anthony Borlolazzo zinged a goal in on a breakaway.
