Wow! Did we ever have a fantastic Kendal Day. So many people worked very hard and it turned out great. Chris and Cecile Perron and their two boys were there for two days setting up and cooking. I think we had a great turn out for work parties parties both before and after. The games were a great hit, especially the Dunk Tank. Oh my, was that water cold! To add insult to injury my kids were the first to dunk me. Thanks to Warren Wright of the Durham Regional Police Auxiliary for taking a turn in the tank. The entertainment was top notch, with something happening happening all day long. Pure Country sounded great, the Ganaraska Country Cloggers were their stupendous selves.. Those Tiny Tappers were so cute we could've watched them for another hour or two. You do great work Mandy. It was also fun to watch people recoil in fear as the Orono Cat World brought out the big snakes. Enid Brewer sounded terrific for our dinner music. I wish I could have brought the real piano for her to play. Maybe the weather will cooperate next year. Finally, the night dance with Ena Palmateer, Stetson, Mandy Dolley, and Mike Pollard was a great hit. We get to see Stetson again for our New Year's Dinner and Dance, so get. your tickets tickets early! We have some great plans for the fall. To get in the the Euchre and Dart nights please call Joan at 983-5901 for information. We are going to sponsor a Youth Play Group for kids 5 to 10 years old. For information on this call Shane 983-6210. We have Yuk Yuks coming Sept. 13th, which is always a great hit. The Orange Lodge will be holding a Halloween Dance. And of course--we are always open to suggestions!
