Both birds were submitted submitted for testing pn Aug. 20 and results weré received today. This report was received following? the release of information earlier today confirming a positive test for the virus on a pool of mosquitoes from the north Oshawa area. This brings the number of positive WNV test for crows in the area to six so far this season. Residents are again reminded since WNV activity activity is now widespread throughout Ontario, it is important to take precautionary precautionary measures to protect them selves and reduce the risk of being bitten by mosquitoes. Norm Andrews of the Clarington Fiddle Club helped provide entertainment at the Clarke Museum's corn roast Saturday. Besides the Iive entertainment, there were spinning and blacksmith demonstrations, as well as an appearance by local children's author William Swan. Children could get their face painted and partake in some children's games. The corn was picked fresh at a local farmer, for the event which was billed 'Celebrate the Harvest'.
