Dairy Queen walked away with a 3-1 win. Orono's only point was scored by Cam Richardson assisted by Greg Howe. Alex Hart played a great game in net. Reid's Royal LePage team played Kelsey's on Sunday Feb 22. The game was tight from start to finish and ended in a 3-3 tie. Orono scored one point in the first period - Cam Delorme assisted by Greg Howe. Orono was down 3-1 late in the third period when Scott Henderson, unassisted, slipped one in at the 2:30 mark. Then Cam Delorme netted his second of the night to tie it up at the 1 minute mark. Delorme's goal was assisted by Cam Richardson. Kyle Johnston had net duties for the game. On February 24th Orono and O.P.G faced off. This time Orono walked away with the 2-0 win. With two minutes remain ing in the first period, Greg Howe put the first point on the board assisted Matt Lewis. The second point was scored by Kyle Johnston, assisted by Cam Richardson. Charlie Reid's started their playoffs on Sunday February 29th, dominating the game and recording a 8-0 win. Goals were scored by Greg Howe( 2), Matt Lewis (2), Justin Westerink (2), Cam Richardson *(1) and Scott Henderson(l). Assists to Scott Henderson (2), Dan Reilly (1), Matt Lewis (1) and Greg Howe (1). Village Bakery Midgets slump The Orono Village Bakery Midget team finished the regular regular season in defeat against Hobb, Baker and Motor City Crane. The Village Bakery team has been plagued with game suspensions and the flu. The playoffs opened with Orono pitted against Power Workers Union. The teams were well balanced but again the Orono bench was light with only ten players. Flynn, Colin Maitland and Konopka played tight defence allowing only one goal into the net until the middle of the third period. Tired and killing a penally, they let the Power Workers score another goal.
