Hal sey G. (a‘ravitt performed the cere- mony ut the residence of W. T. Ward. the brother-in-lmv of the bride. The house was beautifully decorated with cut flowers. After the ceremony a Wedding supper was served; and as u challenge to the in- clement weather, ice cremnswns puss. ed around. The wedding was st rict- ly private, only M few relatives ot-the contracting parties being present. The bride has lived here since iu~ fancy, graduating from the public school. and for three years acting as assistant postuiistress. The groom came from Lincoln. Ill.. about five years ago. and carried on the lumber business of C. U. Gale 6}: Co.' which he afterward bought out. The young couple will be “at home" at Highwood in the house belonging to the C. 0. (:‘mil’estutc after Dec. lst. The good wishes of the community attend them on their venture. W._P. Blanchard is Hw guvst of Charles Brown. Rev. J. M. Crissnian from Garrett Biblical Institute of ivanston. preached last, Sunday. He will also preach next Sunday. A “Feminine Dramatic society" has been organized here and is work ing upon a drama which will be giv en in the course of time at the M. E. church.
