Postmaster Schneider Urges Use of Air Mail Thursday, October 2, 1930 Urging Highland Park users of air mail to make certain that all mail marked for <dispatch by airplane reaches the local postoffice before the designated closing times, Postmaster Schneider today described how this city can take advantage of air mail service as effectively as though loâ€" cated directly on an air mail line. "By having air mail in the postâ€" office in accordance with the schedule below, the mail will be dispatched by train to the nearest air mail terminal where it will connect with the extenâ€" sive system which covers the United States," said the Postmaster. "This means that air mail from this city will be delivered anywhere in the United States and will often save from one to three days in time." The closing hour for air mail at the local postoffice is 5 p.m. for the night fiights and 5 p.m. for the day flights.
