This office immediately contacts the guardian of the child, advising of his rights to continued compensaâ€" tion, and sends forms for his exeâ€" eution; whereupon he requests apâ€" proval of the school which the child desires to attend subsequent to his gighteenth birthday, with the apâ€" proximate dates of commencement and terminatioh of the course. Upâ€" an receipt of these forms the school is â€"contacted for a verification of dates, and information concerning the number of days or evenings per week the child is in actual school attendance. This information is forwarded to Central Office, with the recommendation that the course be approved or disapproved, as the case may be. In those cases in which the child does not desire to avail himself of the benefits to which he is entitled, the office of the Director, Widows‘ and Dependents‘ Claim Servite is so notified, and:the case is closed pending such time as the guardian may desire to reopen it. The child may reâ€"enter school at any time but will receive compansation to cover only that period of time. in Public No. 2, 73rd Congress, also provided that the children of those veterans who are receiving benefits under the provisions of this Act, and for whom there is an apporâ€" tioned award of the veterans‘ comâ€" pensation because of separation, shall continue to receive the apporâ€" tioned share of the veteran‘s comâ€" pensation if they are unmarried and attending school. a service connected disability disâ€" ably to a degree of thirty per cent or more at the time of death, are also entitled to these benefits. ;'; necessary, in order to meet the requirements of this law, that the child be in school attendance at least three daily sessions per week.
