Park State Bank lem tells the story ~ F. 0, B. DETROIT Golden Plovers Seen in Deerfield District Mrs. George Engstrom of D'oorol field, who has made a special study. of bird life for the past decade, records her migration findings each year‘ for the Government Survey at Washington, D. C. Last Monday, Mrs. Engstrom and a group of womâ€" en, who have organized a bird club, were about three miles west of Deerfield near the Des Plaines river, where they saw a flock of sixty golden plovers. ‘This is a most unâ€" usual occurrence for this locality and no reports are found in this region of their migration. These birds usually cross the continent much farther west on their trip north into Canada and Alaska for their summer nesting and they miâ€" grate in the fall to South America via the Pacific coast.
