One initiative that's been spreading around town is through a charity called GiveInKind. Groups of people have been banding together to cater meals for hospital staff at Advocate Condell Medical Center. It's a win-win because it helps local medical professionals and benefits local restaurants. My little neighborhood collected over $800 and my friend's larger one collected over $4,000!
