There was standirg room only Friday evening at the "Scandals of Diamond --Lake." Seventy--five dol-- lars was taken in. Everyone pro-- nounced the show a success. The fourteen scandal dgirls, the best looking in Diamond Lake were very attractive in their rain bow cos-- tumes in the first two acts, and' again in yellow and black pierette costumes in several dances. The two eolored acts "The Lifers" and "Sam and Henry" brought a good many laughs from the audience. Betty Jane Rouse was attractive and E:::ul in her solo dances. The nd Lake Bus with two um-- brellas for wheels, ice cream freezor for a crank, egg beater for the motor proved to be the "last word" in the motor world. The oecupamts' of the bus related all the latest local gossip as to deaths, divorces, mar-- mages and births. I know Dave Covert's solo, "Souvenirs" brough; not a few tears to the flappers in the crowd. Marie Ray's original related the history of the' _;mfly C!Tu:' and was fl'u':te'e;at}:' y written. one act y wit Mr. ~Southorn and Mrs. Heinsohn playing typical Irish parts proved an entertaining half hour. Each one in the Community Club in addi-- tion to the fourteen girls workedl hard to put on the program al--} though much credit should be due the committee, Cloyce Parks, Paul Allanson, and Dave Covert, who planned the show. If yeu enjoved the entertainment, don't forget that a minstrel show is being planned for the future. \| Mr. Robert Rouse with eight wo-- men of Mundelein atte;ndedr the Chicago American Bovhng our-- nament on Saturday in Chicago. yz n n n _ ne_ e ex LiE NLPLLLAENMEI IOTLZLPVENLLPY L N !
