Gilbert Luce returned Monday evening from a business trip to Billings, Montana. He was looking after his oil interests there. The Ladies Aid Society of the Presbyterian church will hold a bak-- ery sale Saturday afternoon, April 4, at the Farm Bureau office. Miss Margaret Biere has resigned her position at the Libertyville Department store and Mrs. Peter Hanson will take her place. Thomas H. Edwards until April 21. Attorney C. P. Bdrnes, represent-- ing Mayor Clendennin, defendant in the suit, is ill at his home and was unable to attend court. The petition charges that the Zion mayor controlled by Voliva is attempting to "freeze out" the In-- dependents. In the course of his plan, it is held, he has refused to allow the building addition. A ski jumper recently jumped 202 feet. Carpentier, however, will con-- tinue as champion Siki jumper.
