Since being here he went to Waukegan and had an operation on his nose and throat at the Lake County General hospital, having his tonsils and adnoids removed. The operation was very euccessful and he is recovering nicely and feels much relieved since the trouble is removed. * Mr, and Mrs. Paul Reiner are happy over the arrival of a son born to them Oct. 19th. She was the daughter of William Smith, a vet-- eran of the Civil War, and his wife Anna Eliza, who came to Lake Coun-- ty 75 years ago from the East and took up their home near Volo. In ber youth, she taught the hand-- full of pupils who came for miles around to Fort Hill school. It was while: teaching there that she met Hiram Lusk, who came from ancother fynily of early settlers, and to whom she was un'ted in marriage in 1880.
