Entire District to Join in Cele-- § brating Openina of Good Roads Near Decatur. 44 PANA CELEBRATES _ -- OPENING OF FIVE NEW HARD ROADS Pana. 111., Oct. 14.--Pana is on edge for one of the biggest days of its his-- tory--the opening of fAve new hard roads into the city, Thursday. Prep arations for a celebration which will eclipse anything the city has ever seen have been made. GOV. SMALL TO SPEAK --Thousands of Illinois citizens will pour into Pana for the celebration; it is --expected, including the governor of the state, Len Smail, and many other notables. Band concerts, a barbecue, a parade, airplane flights, free vaude vilte and movies and Can~ing are on the day's program. Large delegations will come from the cities and towns with which Pana has been joined by the new roads, it has been assured. The delegations from Decatur, Shelbyville, Tower Hill, Assumption, Taylorville, Nokomi#s, Vandalia, Hillsboro, Owaneco, will be accompanied by bands. Two Pana bands will add to the music. At ten o'clock in the morning all bands, civic, labor and fraternal -- or-- ganizations and delegations from the 'different cities will join in a grand parada. At noon hundreds of pounds of barbecued meats will be served free at Kitchell Pa:& f The speaking progs@am will begin at 2 o'clock. Addresses will be heard from Governor Small,; Mayor Henry W.
