Marshal Limberry has two wagons of the coaster type, which have been found and left in shis care. The boys who have wagons missing should call on the marshal at once and claim their property. The Women's Catholic Order of Foresters will give _ a bunco and euchre party at Gridley's hall next Thursday evening, Nov. 13th. Dancing, will follow the card party. The public is invited. Mason was in Chicago Saturday, Nov. 1st, to attend the wed-- ding of her niece, Marion Lewis, to Lester Turton, in that city. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Her-- bert A. Lewis, who were former Lake county residents. She is a graduate of a Chicage high school, and a stu-- dent of Chicago University for two years. The groom graduated from the University last June. Constable *Dennis Limberry was called to Rondout Wednesday night, and in company with two S8t. Paul rail-- road detectives, arrested Alex Renald, who is charged with taking coal, ties, lumber and other property belonging to the railroad company. He was to be given a heafing before Justice Morris this: afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Davi@ and thir daughter, Miss Hazel, left Tuesday for their winter home in St. Peters-- burg, Florida. This is about a month later than they went last year, but Davis could not see the logic of three perfectly good votes for Gov. Small leaving the state before election day. Consequently all voted and then went to the train. The Indepe*dent will keep them posted on events in Lake uounty during their absence. Christian education day will be ob-- served by the Presbyterians of Liber-- tyville next Sunday, with special serv-- ices at the church. The Rev. Archi-- bald R. Wright, of O#@k Park, will be the speaker. The Rev. Mr. Wright has just completed a survéy of education-- al conditions in the state, and will speak on "Christian Education." Mr. Wright will be--glad fo discuss the subject of education while he is here. He has recently returned from a num-- ber of years service among the Pres-- byterians in the north of Ireland. A surprise -- Hallowe'en party was given at the home of Janet Metcalf last Friday night, the guests being her schoolmates, members of the seventh grade. . The evening was hilariously spent in playing bunco and other games, dear to the hearts of young-- sters. A great many of those attend-- ing were masked, and this feature added to the fun. At bunuo Noel Krumrey won first prize, a for sure gold pen:; Howard Nalley and Eileen Numsen won the second prizes, and John Landis took the booby prizé.
