The "gothic style" referred to in the notes is not evident in the image.
If a relatively broad gable and a little gingerbread detail qualify as "gothic" then all manner of "Victorian" style farmhouses and other edifices throughout S. Ontario are entitled to similar description.
The extended hood moulding along the facade looks "English" and is the only feature I can discern that is remotely connected to ecclesiastic architecture, let alone Gothic.
