- Fire on the eve of January 4, 1937. Taken at 11pm.

- It appears the first meetings for public worship were around the mid 1820s. In 1833 the Presbyterians met for worship in a building that stood on what is now the corner of George and Orange Streets. The original stone church was built late in the fall of 1833 on the south east corner of Seminary and William Streets. This building however was soon claimed by the Synod of Canada in connection with the Church of Scotland and in 1860 the building was awarded to the claimants in the action, Meanwhile the congregation erected a new church on King Street which opened on December 21, 1862. After the devastating fire of 1937 the congregation immediately set about rebuilding on the same site.
