- The original Cobourg Heavy Battery, which later was joined by the P.E.I. contingent at Halifax to form the Canadian 2nd Heavy battery, is shown in the above group photograph. Included in this group is Lt-Col. MacNachtan, C.V.O., seated between Major J.W. Odell and Lieut. C.T. Peterson. Lt-Col. MacNachtan brought greater distinction and honour to the Battery then any other single individual
