- Haynes Printing Co.Ltd was established in 1950. It was formed with the publication of the Cobourg Times, one of Canada's first photo offset newspapers and Cobourg's first to feature a weekly coloured comic section. Eventually the decision was made to phase out the production of weekly publications and concentrate on highter quality creative trade magazines and advertising literature. A new plant was built in 1971 with and expansion in 1976. It employed around 12 people and Ed Haynes was the President.
