"So nice of you to write me Jane dear. I am now down in bed and had Dr. (D)oddington this a--. He gave me a very thorough exam and a shot of penicillin and says I am rundown, anemic & have a bad case of laryngitis. He says I must stay in bed till my temperature goes down so that will be more work for poor Em. I saw in last Saturday's paper where they have Lenten lectures & the Stations of the Cross at St. Vincent de Paul Church each Friday and I was going to call you and ask you if you know where that was and would go with me.
