- Description
- The lakeshore in front of the old Tracy estate is highly historic. In 1860, when the Prince of Wales visited Cobourg, he stayed a few hours at the residence, then owned by the Hon. Sidney Smith. In the background is a site long popular for Sunday School picnics and as the annual camp of a band of gypsies. Pictured in the foreground Edwin C. Guillet.
- Notes
- Till the 1950s one could still identify the Duck Harbour ballast line over which gravel was hauled for the re-ballasting of the Grand Trunk Railway in 1887.
