- This photograph is the second of a pictorial progress report on the construction of the new Cobourg plant.
- Inscriptions
- Reported: "This was taken from the top of the Pectin Building. The foundation footings for the steel beams have been dug below the frost line. These are about 12 feet square to allow for the future pressure which will be exerted by the floor and equipment and some indication of the size of the footings can be imagined when you compare them to a workman walking along beside. This is the first tangible evidence of construction. At the front can be seen the reinforcing grids which are ready for the next stage of development."
