- Notes
- This building was erected in 1838 by Reverend Alexander Bethune, later second bishop of Toronto, for use as a theological College for the training of Anglican priests and was known as the Diocesan Theological Institute. Later it became integrated into the University of Trinity College in Toronto . It was later bought by the Cobourg School Board and became a public school. It is believed that Henry Bower Lane was its architect and in Canada during this time period. Its Gothic style was altered later when it was bought by Mrs. Haskell of Chicago, in 1906, who added the second storey and back wing.
