First Row, first person – Roland McKenzie
Donald (1866 – 1945) was the oldest son of Alexander McKenzie (1832 – 1898) and Elizabeth Brewster (1845 – 1934), and Roland (1888 – 1979) is the youngest son. Donald (aka Donald Alexander) went on to become a Reverend for the Presbyterian Church, serving at Gamebridge and Centreville and for a number of years at Burnbrae, near Campbellford. Roland was later a storekeeper in Centreton, and married Edith Ruth Richards, who also taught at the Centreton School for some time.

- Centreton School was on the northeast corner of the junction of Centreton and MacDonald roads. It opened in 1857 and closed in 1966. When the school closed the students were transferred to Grafton Public School. The building was sold and is now a private home.
